Workshop: Student voice in teaching and learning

Email: nszelei@ie.ulisboa.pt

I am passionate about education – let it be about learning, teaching or researching.

I graduated as a primary school teacher in Hungary, and since have been teaching in the primary in preschool sector in several countries. I completed my Masters at the University of Turku (Finland), and I am now finalising my PhD in teacher education at the Institute of Education, University of Lisbon (Portugal).

My current main interests are teachers’ professional development, cultural and linguistic diversity in schools, and the ways through which teachers and researchers could work together to make teaching and learning more joyful, and education just for all children.

Workshop: “Student voice in teaching and learning”

Syrene Room: Saturday 13:30-14:30

In this workshop we are going to look at the meanings of student voice in education and highlight its fundamental role in establishing democratic processes in school. We will specifically discuss and brainstorm ideas together about how students’ voices can be engaged with in the classroom and in school life in general.
