Theatre in the Spanish classroom
I moved from the Mediterranean to the Baltic sea more than two decades ago. During this time I have got the oportunity of investing in my educational and professional development.
I pursued Pedagogical studies at Åbo Akademi University in Vaasa-FI, I obtained a Master Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Barcelona-ES and a Specialization for Teachers of Spanish as a foreign language at the University of Castellón-ES.
I have mainly focused my job on coaching youngsters and adults in their learning, by creating and incorporating varied and innovative methods. Nowadays I work as a Spanish teacher at the University of Economics, in an International Company and in an Adult Center in Vaasa-FI.
As a lifelong learner, I keep on searching for new challenges in order to improve and advance in my career and passion for Education.
Workshop: “Theatre in the Spanish classroom”
Kalypso Room: Sunday 9:30-10:00
Let me present to you a very representative example of joy in Education:
A group of 11 senior students from Finland improved their Spanish knowledge, while they expanded the Ostrobothnian culture, by performing our own modified version of Cervantes’ masterpiece, renamed as Don Quijote de Waasa.
In search of adventures, as the errant-knight wished in the real play, we acted with enthusiasm in three cities in Spain, one in Sweden and three in Finland.
A joyful experience for the students, for me as their teacher and for the audience.
So… Curtains up!
